- Managing Scheme Mandates: Tracking new mandates, deadlines, and compliance changes from the card schemes and making sure we implement them correctly and on time.
- Collaborating Across Teams: You’ll work closely with teams across the business – from operations and IT to legal and risk – to ensure everyone’s aligned on card scheme rules and compliance requirements.
- Understanding Payment Flows: A good grasp of acquiring flows, merchant onboarding, transaction routing, and risk management will help you ensure we meet the standards set by the card schemes.
- Providing Expert Advice: Offering guidance to teams across the business on scheme regulations and best practices, ensuring we stay compliant and ahead of the curve.
- Keeping Records and Audits: You’ll maintain accurate records of all compliance activities, audits, and reporting related to the schemes.
- Reporting on Compliance: Preparing regular updates on our compliance status and any potential risks or changes that may affect the business.
- Training the Team: Helping others stay up to speed by developing training materials and sessions on card scheme compliance requirements.
- Improving Processes: Always looking for ways to improve compliance practices, whether through better tools, more efficient procedures, or staying on top of industry changes.
